Hollydays - Puerto Vallarta
Hello Hello,
I finally made my way out of winter and down south...for a bit. So I thought I'd do a quick little write up on my initial thoughts, I say initial because I plan on going back again soon and I have been given an extensive list of things I missed this time around.
Me and one of my best friends headed to Mexico for the first time, we only went for 4 days to grab some Vitamin D, as we were both brand new to PVR we decided to stay on the resort and enjoy all the amenities it had to offer.
We started our day off right before our flight with a tequila and oj which warmed our insides up as we hustled through the cold parking lot.
Once we landed we headed right to the Resort, P.S cabs are super easy to get a hold of once you land, I know there are ways of pre-booking cabs/shuttles for less, however it cost us $20 USD for both of us. Total of $40 round trip/ 2 people. Heads-up if you are on a time crunch let them know as our cab driver took almost an hr to get us to the resort as he took us through the cobble roads and old town which was lovely, just took a little longer.
We were greeted by Cranberry Spritzers and cold cloths...and a gorgeous ocean view. All inclusive is a very funny feeling. Our fridge was fully stocked and room service 24/7. Did I mention we stayed at the Hyatt Ziva. Over the course of the 4 days we had the same bar tender almost everytime, his name was Arturo and he deserves a special shout out as he was so kind and generous with his time. The very first afternoon we were there he served us 1 drink that's it, it wasn't until the next day when we ran into him again and he remembered us. On the second last day we were over by a tree and I asked for a coconut, the next day he came with two coconuts that he had gone into town and bought for us!!
We ate at almost all the restaurants, the only one we didn't go to was the Italian because we get more than enough of that at home. Of course the Mexican place was great however I am bias to their Asian Restaurant not only was the food great, we managed to catch a beautiful sunset along with the release of baby turtles! We ended up abandoning our dinner for a solid half an hour, but it is a memory I will cherish forever and it was more than worth a cold dinner.
It was also fun to order room service every morning, kept it simple and delicious same thing every morning....waffles, spinach omelette, fruit, pastries, green juice and coffee. Breakfast made for queens, definitely glad I did Barre Belle's 28 day challenge before I left, I ate my weight in so much food!!
There's nothing much left to say other than I loved the entire trip, I will hopefully be heading back soon, and I plan on staying at the Hyatt Ziva again! Beautiful View, Service, Experience.
And yes I plan on venturing away from the resort for some activities next time.
Big Love, thebrokeblonde xo
