June & July Ipsy Bag - 2024

We’ve been working.a bit out of sorts, you may have seen that our May & August unboxings came before our June & July unboxings — so we’re serving a double dose in this post.

We always love getting brushes as you can never have too many, and happy to have a travel size toner as an addition to our makeup bag! We have plenty of mascara’s and don’t mind having another on standby, this one isn’t our favourite, but isn’t being sent to the graveyard…just a B-list teammate. The surprise item was the underestimated pH Color changing lip balm form Dear Midnight this colour is actually a beautifully toned light pink on my lips and it’s been a star player in our handbag.

Unfortunately, we didn’t get the bag shown, we got the back up bag (which was the same as July 2023). We did use the Ailovi Foundation, and while we liked the formula and the overall result, we don’t typically go for a full coverage moment, that mixed in with the fact we don’t know where we can actually purchase a full size product — we give this product a 3.5.

Bronzing drops have been having a moment and while we love a good glow FAB fell short of our expectations, while we still used it and the product came out pigmented it did quickly dilute once blended into the skin.

Body scrubs are not a fan favourite, which is why this product only got a rating of 2. On the other hand Lithe Beauty eyeshadow has been a consistent to-go since we’ve received it and we’re close to hitting pan on a few shades. And of course the perfect pairing to a palette is a brush, this isn’t our favourite brush but the one end works really well.
