The truth about BeautyCounter
I have tried MLM’s, pyramid schemes and whatever else you want to call it, and decided it wasn’t for me. My dear friend started BeautyCounter earlier in 2020 and while I wanted to support her I was hesitant. I did all the things a good friend does, I joined as a band of beauty member. It was only $29 and I recieved a free gift with a value well over that amount, it was the Counter+ Overnight Resurfacing Peel valued aprx at $80, along with 10% credit back with every purchase.
My first purchase was the Counter Match regime, followed by the Vitamin C serum. I loved most of what I tried and I shared my full review back in the summer. After that I went and continued with the new foundation formula, SkinTwin. I was pleasantly surprised, for being a clean brand I was certainly skeptical of the quality and coverage but it outstanding!
Fast forward a few months my foundation is empty and so is my Vitamin C serum —- I gifted my mum the foaming cleanser but the rest I kept for myself. While I haven’t replaced my entire collection with BeautyCounter it sure has made a dent into my vanity collection.
I am a sucker for anything limited edition or holiday collection, so when BC launched its holiday line of course I had to get my hands on as much as my wallet could allow. Because I was so impressed with the quality of product I decided to add it to my Holly-days giveway…oops spoiler! As random as it may seem I think their deodorants have become my new favourite thing. Being a human means I sweat when I work out or get anxious, and these bad boys hold up! My personal favourite is the Crisp Sequoia, for those of you who are sensitive to smell these aren’t overpowering at all, the strongest would be the Fresh Rose, but even then I wouldn’t consider it strong compared to other deodorants I have used in the past.
After dropping a few hundred dollars BeautyCounter launched their Black Friday promotion which included 15% off your purchase AND $20.20 start up fee…do you see where this is going? Yup your girl signed up. It was only $20! Less than the Band of Beauty membership plus access to incredible deals on great products, you bet I’m kicking myself wishing I had signed up BEFORE I spent the hundreds on product, but at least I can say with confidence I like what I am promoting.
I want to make on thing clear, thebrokeblonde is NOT going to become a BeautyCounter account.
I will share brands and products I love as always and yes there will be BC products included now and then because I like the product and I want to share it with you. I have been using Rachel Hollis’ Start Today Journal for over a year now and one of my goals is to: Have a monthly affiliate income of $1,000. It sounds steep but through my blog, beautycounter and other projects I am working on I have faith that I will one day hit this goal.
Your continued support fills my heart, whether it’s giving a like on Instagram, signing up for emails, making a purchase online or beautycounter, I see it all and appreciate you!
I would love to hear one of you big goals you are working to achieve!
