4 Ways To Upgrade Your Inflight Snacks
As some of you may know I travel a lot for work and pleasure. And as much as I love the airplane cookies sometimes I need something a little extra.
First things first, you are allowed to bring snacks on board and past security as long as they comply with the regulations...so save yourself the $4 Kit-Kat and pack that before you go.
I have 4 Things that make those inflight snacks a little more interesting.
1. Trick Trail Mix: When the flight attendant comes around ask for the pretzels and a cup, bring out that Kit Kat (or coffee crisp) crumble it a bit pour in the pretzels, shake it up a bit and voila low budget trail mix, fixes that sweet and salty craving.
2. Cheap Cheesecake: Ask for the cookies (and a cup) and a pack of sugar (or bring your own) crumble up the cookies, add a pack of travel size cream cheese, or laughing cow cheese and a dehydrated lemon or lime pack...these maybe available on the flight as some airlines offer them for club soda or you can pick them up at a supermarket, I've seen them at planet organic. Mix it all together and you have the worlds cheapest non bake cheesecake crumble.
3. Spicy Pretzels: Exactly how it sounds...ask for pretzels and toss in some Tobasco sauce, again some airlines carry it on board but to hedge your bets you can pack your own as long as they are under 100ml.
4. Upgrade Your Drink: Although opening personal alcohol on flights is not permitted you are able to bring on mix ingredients, which I would recommend, you can my a few different varieties from indigo! Another option is to Bring on a OJ or Ginger Ale...or whatever you use for Sangria, purchase the wine on board, ask for 1 other drink then you can do the mixing yourself, please don't ask the Flight Attendant to do it as they probably have an upwards of 60+ other people to attend too.
That's all for this week! See you next week.
