Brittany’s Fool Proof Oatmeal Chocolate Chip Cookies

As a part of the Hosted By Holly podcast, I asked each guest to share a recipe as a tangible gift to you in addition to the intangible gifts from sharing their stories, experiences and wisdom. Brittany was kind enough to share her Grandma’s Oatmeal Chocolate Chip Cookies, so you can snack as you listen and of course I had to do my own taste test. Here’s what you’ll need:

  • Pre-heat oven to 325

  • 2 Eggs

  • 1 Cup of Butter/Margarine

  • 1 Cup of Brown Sugar

  • .5 Cup of White Sugar

  • 2 Cups of Oats

  • 1.5 Cups of Flour

  • .5 Tsp of Baking Soda

  • Chocolate Chips *I used about half a bag of the Chipits Heart Chocolate Chips

Suggested cook time: about 10 mins.

I don’t know if I just make really big cookies or have a really old oven, but I left them in for about 15mins, (checked at 12) and they turned out great!

I was able to make about 18 cookies, with a bit of dough leftover to eat while I waited.

I’ve also made a printable download version for you as well.
