Game Night

There are two sides to every platform, there’s the one pushing new trends every second and the one telling us to slow down. And we’re guilty of trying to play the game of “hurry up and wait”, but one thing that has always been important to us is our friendships/relationships. These are the ones that will compliment you on your outfit, but in the same breath wouldn’t care if you showed up in the same thing for the 50th time.

It’s important to remember to put down the phone and enjoy being in the moment, and for us a little competition never hurt. Game nights are definitely something we’re bringing “in” to our 2024 and here’s what we're playing.

  • Chameleon

  • Tapple

  • Suspend

  • Code Names

Chameleon is a fun game to play in larger groups, where it takes some convincing and guessing to find out who’s blending into the game and who truly knows what’s going on.

There are different versions of Tapple, we purchased the travel version which is possible to play solo, but also fun to play in a group. This version comes with multiple different variations to play depending on the group size and the length of play. This is great if you’re just waiting to fill some time and don’t want to spend a lot of time trying to explain the rules.

Suspend is another great game to play as a smaller group and for a quick round, in a sense it’s reverse Jenga — instead of tearing down, you’re building up trying your best not to throw the structure off balance.

Code Names is a great team game, lots of fun and easy enough to set up, although a bit more space is required so you can layout the cards. Just be careful what descriptors you decide to use as it may give too many hints to the other team or confuse your own teammate…we maybe speaking from experience.
