Hinch Haul

Now that I’ve got my all my office bits sorted for the semester I figured it was about time I get the tiding part sorted as well. I recently came across Mrs. Hinch and fell in love.

I jumped right on the band wagon. Beginning with her latest book that released in early October. I loved listening to it on Audible which I having been using for months now. It’s a great way to get multiple things done at once.

If you want to follow a similar Canadian account check out go clean co. on Instagram. After reading I went on my own Hinch haul, while not all things were available I did my best to find comperable items.

Beginning with Mrs. Hinch’s Hinch List Book. Great way to keep track of all those little homey tasks. I love the philosophy little and often. I usually get too overwhelmed and start from scratch and get tired halfway through. These lists help me feel accomplished even if the entire space isn’t complete.

Storage is important, so I picked up a couple cute white baskets from Dollarama. I have one stored for “dry” good such as cloths, clean sponges dusters etc. And a “wet” basket that includes the detergents, soaps and cleaning products. I have started with two baskets but ideally I would love to have one in each room to avoid misplacing and carrying around unecessary products.

Fleecy fabric softner. I don’t have access to Lenor products so I just grabbed whatever was in the supermarket on sale. I use a cap full with a large bowl, basin or bucket of pipping hot water and give everything a quick scrub with a Minky cloth.

Minky clothes have become me new little obession the problem is they aren’t as easy to come by here as they are in the UK, I’m sure there’s something similar but I just headed straight to Amazon Prime, it was about $14 for 3 Minky’s. I’ve been using them for about a month now and I love the durability of them, they can even handle the washing machine which is perfect.

Dish scrubber and Microfibre cloths have been other game changers. I have not been using the dish scrubber for dishes shockingly but they are great for getting into all the nook and crannies in the bathroom. I bought a 5-pack of Microfibre cloths for $3 at Dollarama as well, they pick up the little bits of dust including blinds and the car. You can also toss these in the wash. To keep everything separate and organized I bought various sized glass jars, also from Dollarama and then got them labelled by Peacock & Steel. I got some for my pantry and then a Dirty Jar to store all the dirty cloths.

I also picked up Febreze and Bar Keepers Friend to keep everything clean and shiny. In my cleaning caddy I also have Saje’s multi-surface cleaner and recently recieved a bottle of lemon-aid cleaner.

That’s all I have for my current Hinch Haul! Happy Cleaning x
