Hollydays - Amsterdam
Day 12: Free Trams and Cheap Beer.
We made it to Amsterdam and it is probably my new favourite city. It is beautiful everywhere you look even if you happen to get caught in the rain.
Although none of us speak Dutch we were able to play the matching game with train stops and when we went to tansfer we asked where to pay for the tram and the driver just told us to keep going...so we did. #free.
Once we reached our hostel and found our bearings we decided to wander around and found ourselves at a local pub where we made friends with the bartender (Hi Vincent!) and a couple of locals. The best thing about it was the beers were only 3€!!
We made it back to the hostel shortly after midnight and sailed away into la la land.

Day 13: Food on a Stick and Day Drinking!
Sooooo although I am quiet upset about missing stampede, I have managed to find food on a stick - a delicious waffle at that. Now although they don't do Doughnuts the same way the Irish do they for SURE know how to do waffles.
After wandering around the market this morning we decided to hop on a canal tour (thanks Geraldine!)... this was a lot of fun and we took full advantage of "drinks included"...so much so we took about a 45 min detour via the red light district and a mandatory "rest stop" before finding our hostel. Once we found ourselves back at base we took it upon ourselves to have a two hour nap/rest/sobering up period before realizing how hungry we were.
For dinner we searched for something we the right amount of grease and nutritional value. Enter in Donairs...which happen to be the best I've ever had....pulled pork with goat cheese and fig jelly, spot on .👌🏻
Its just gone 10 and we've been in bed already for a solid hour and a half....
hoping for an early morning tmr!!
good night x
