Hydration Station
Hydration, Hydration, Hydration. For some reason that is January's Mantra. After the disorganization and rule breaking of December everyone seems to re-focus on health and skincare come the new year.
I do try my best to avoid falling to far down the rabbit hole when it comes to breaking routine over the Christmas season however, I did notice that for whatever reason my skin has been exceptionally dry this winter.
I recently purchase a variety of sheet face masks from Origins in hopes to do some recovery work. If you have been reading my posts or following my social media for a while it'll come to you as no surprise when I say Origins is one of my fav skincare brands.
Now almost a year ago I believe they launched 6 new sheet masks which I have been struggling to find, but they recently landed in my shopping cart (at last!!). Now if you have me beat and you've managed to get a hold of them before me sorry...and let me know which one was/is your favourite!
I typically prefer wash off or leave on masks, but I thought this was most definitely worth a try. I also have to admit I don't usually analyze my skin before/and after so I can't always tell the benefits I just use them as a part of my pampering process. I will share with you whether or not I liked it (usually in regards to scent and staying power...or did it slide around). I have listed below the sheet masks and the benefits they are said to have.
Raspberry: This one intrigued me the most because I have never seen a raspberry mask before, this one is designed to help with irritation and dry skin. Nothing better then refreshed skin.
Lavender: No surprise here this one is designed to de-stress and soothe... spaaaahhh day anyone?!
Orange: Like most of the orange Origins line, this one helps to boost radiance and restore glow, talk about a mid-week pick me up!
Jasmine: Soften those are frown lines you've been working so hard on all week long. Did you know Jasmine is an aphrodisiac?
Violet: High in antioxidants this one has similar benefits to Lavender in the scents (he he punny), that it helps relieve stress and induce sleep.
Rose: This is unfortunately the only one I haven't been able to get my hands on however, this one this said to help with dullness and dryness.
As I mentioned before I am usually one to go with wash off or leave on masks, these are my faves:
Clear Improvements Active Charcoal To Mask Clear Pores
Retexturizing Masks with Rose Clay
Drink Up Intensive Overnight Mask to Quench Skin's Thirst
What's you favourite mask?!
