Jilly Box Unboxing - Summer 2021
I can’t believe it’s already July, I have fallen so behind on my blog posts (and emails!!), but I made it my mission to get this post up before the Fall box arrived, unlike the Spring post that was published the same day as the arrival of the summer box.
This is now my 5th …or 6th Box from Jillian and the team, and I have to say this is by far my favourite box. Over the past few boxes, there has always been one to two items I have absolutely loved, but if I am being completely honest I have stayed subscribed mainly because of the hype and the FOMO…probably not the best reason but nonetheless, I’m glad I kept it for at least this season because this has been by far the best box.
Here’s what was inside:
Jardine’s Domaine: The Jilly Road Trip Dress in Wandering White or Vineyard Green ($96 CAN)
Pura Botanicals Overnight Watermelon Mask ($79 CAN)
Tok Mascara ($29 CAN)
Road Trip Canvas Bag ($35 USD)
SugarJoy Candy ($ 20 CAN)
Samara Makeup Case ($86 CAN)
ELUCX Bath and Body Oil ($25 CAN)
Box Retails for $199 CAN
Of course, the Candy was gone within the first day of the box arrived, and I would be keen to buy them again, however, I am a sucker for any sort of watermelon flavoured sweets.
When it comes to BabyDoll Dresses I am always a bit apprehensive as I have a narrow waist and wide hips so I typically need to size up to ensure I have enough length to cover my bum, which then leads to the top bit hanging off my shoulders. However, I was pleasantly surprised by this one from Jardine’s Domaine as they made it long enough in the back I was able to order my true size, while I might have been able to sneak into an XXS, the XS doesn’t look overwhelmingly big on top. It the perfect road trip, beach cover-up, rosé on the patio dress.
I haven’t had the chance to use the TOK mascara yet as I am still working through my Charlotte Tilbury and I don’t want to have too many on the go to the point it becomes wasteful. I have been in the process of moving so I haven’t been able to enjoy a bath in ages, and trust me when I say I can’t wait for a soak with the ELUCX bath and body oil.
As for the Bags I have been coveting the Road Trip bag for a least two years now and it has been sold out on the Monika Hibbs site, I even got to the point of ordering directly from the retailer, Santa Barabara Design Studio but with shipping it ended up being about the same, if not more so being patient paid off! And of course, I can’t forget about the Samara Make-Up Case. To be honest it’s far too pretty to use it as a makeup case, one broken eyeshadow, or a single bronzer brush and things will never look the same. I decided on my road trip to Kelowna I would use it to keep my knickers, bras, and swimwear organized, and on my way back I thought of how it could store all my Saje products.
That’s a wrap for this month!
What are your thoughts…worth it?
