Hot Chocolate Kit: If you have gone on Pinterest and searched “Gift Ideas” I am certain this has shown up at least 100 times. But it’s true, super simple and easy to make personal and unique by adding different pieces to the gift.
Here’s what you need:
Option 1:
Mason Jar
Hot Chocolate Powder
Mini Marshmallow
Option 2:
Mason Jar
Cocoa Powder
Sugar
Mini Marshmallows
Alternatives and Add-ons include:
Chilli Powder
Crushed Candy Canes
A little bottle of Orange Flavouring
Baileys
Lindor Chocolates
If you’re not a big hot chocolate fan, you could use the same idea for Mulled Wine and gift it in a mason jar wrapped with a little bag of cinnamon sticks and de-hydrated oranges for cocktail detail.
Under $50:
Speaking of wine, this one option has become more or less my default as its afforable and can serve multiple people…although many of us are stuck at home seeing no-one. A bottle of wine and some fancy glasses can go a long way and make an ordinary day feel special. If you want to go a little outside the budget you could pick up a bottle of liquor and some compliments so your recipent can make their own signature cocktail at home. To make it more of an occasion during lockdown, set up a time where you can both make it together over a FaceTime call.
Under $100:
This is what I like to call the Cosy Caddy, all things needed to cosy up by the fireplace and stay for a while.
Here’s what I include in my Caddy:
Book…perhaps more than one
Cosy Socks
Mug (maybe add a jar of that hot chocolate mix you made)
Hot Water Bottle
Can’t forget about a blanket!
Under $150:
I am a bit of a foodie, I love going out for dinner and cocktails, and it’s such a shame that we are unable to meet and enjoy a meal together. Alot of local restuarants have opened up take-out or delivery options. I know I will be treating myself to a dinner-in over the Christmas break. Paired with a glass of wine, it’s a gaurantee success! I personally like to go pick out the wine and tie the gift card to the bottle, no only do you save money on the bottle than one at a restuarant, but it’s an added personal touch as you have taken the time to select one that they would enjoy.
Under $250:
Now I couldn’t suggest gifts without including tickets to the spring social. We have been apart for too long, and there couldn’t be a better time to see eachother again face to face than in a gorgeous mountain setting at the Banff Springs Hotel on April 10th. There is many different pricing options, Brunch Only, Dinner Only or make a full day of it and Bundle the Day together! There are also VIP tickets that include a VIP swag box valued at over $100 Dollars!
