Outfit Inspo - Anatomy of Scandal

As the summer nights cool off I find myself hibernating more and more under big cosy’s blankets. I am not one for scary drama’s but I do love a drama, especially ones with layers and twists, one thing I can’t help buy notice when I dive into a new show is the wardrobe. While, I don’t have a budget of a film crew, but I do love scrolling the internet to find the closest fit possible.

On the outfit on the left, we have a brown wrap jacket from Abercombie — while I love the style they no longer had my size. I ended up returning it and found something similar at Nordstrom Rack from Avec Les Filles, Aritzia also has a very popular jacket called the Cocoon which comes in a variety of colours and lengths. The emerald green dress is called the Hamptons dress, also from Aritzia, while this is currently unavaible — I notice from time to time they remove it from the site, there is also the Only slip dress which is a slim strap dress or the Marilyn dress from Ever New, which if I didn’t already have this dress I would get it. **At the time of this post the slip dress is on sale from $118 to $58.99!

Let’s talk accessories! Earrings are from Daisy London, I’ve been eyeing up a bold pair of hoops for a while, and these are still my favourite ones. I like the elevated details of the scorring in the hoops. These retail for £119. The handbag I have selected for this outfit is from Mat & Nat, it’s the KINTLA Vegan Satchel - Arbor, in Pecan, this is $195 CAN.

Who says you can’t wear white after labour day?!

The second outfit is inspired off of the party scene at the beginning of the series. The coat and dress are both from Abercrombie, the coat retails for $223, but Abercrombie often has sales or promo codes so you could probably squeeze out a few dollars of savings. The sweater dress retails for $99 — I did manage to find one at half the price at Nordstrom Rack as well, so if you have the time to browse I would highly suggest seeing what you can score!

As for accessories, the white shoes are from Call It Spring and speaking from experience they are very comfortable, the beige shoes are from Aldo both pairs are under $125. The bucket bag is also from Matt & Nat called the DUPONT Vegan Bucket Bag - Vintage, in the shade Chili.

I thought I would include a fun little make up item, in a few scenes Sophie Whitehouse — played by Sienna Miller, where’s a rich red lip in contrast to her natural daytime look. Through my research “scrolling through social media” I’ve noticed the single tone trend popping up in make up looks so I’m suggeting Beauty Counters Cheeky Cream Blush in the shade Goji.

Hope these outfits inspire some of your wardrobe for this season! I would love to know what your favourite pieces are, be sure to watch Anatomy of Scandal on Netflix or Read it…If books are more your thing also check out Sarah Vaughan’s newest book Reputation.
