Summer Bucket List - 2020

Hello Blondies!

I think it’s finally safe to say summer is here!

Like most, my summer plans have been tipped on it’s head and while still secretly hoping I’ll find my way to a european destination or a tropical vacation by the end of the year, I have let go of the reality that it will be this summer. I am glad however that things are beginning to open up here in Calgary (and surrounding area) and while Stampede has been cancelled, soul crushing I know, I want to make this summer as good as it can be because it will probably be the only summer in my life where work isn’t calling me to pull 14 hour days for 20 days out of the month.

So here is my local (ish) summer bucket list for 2020:

  • Mountain Getaway, even though 2020 has had a rough start there are so many things to explore in Banff and surrounding area including new restaurants, which the foodie in me can’t wait to try!

  • Kelowna Wine Tour, I haven’t done one since summer 2018 and I’m hoping that I am still able to book a guided tour if not I may just have a get create with a friend or two and take turns driving

  • Explore my City! If rumour serves me right, Lime scooters are back in the City and while they gave me a slight heartattack last year when I was first learning how to use it, I wouldn’t mind giving it another go, especially along the path that follows the river into East Village.

  • I also can’t wait to hit the golf course, but I do need a bit of practice at the driving range before I take on anything that needs the slightest bit of skill. I have my eye on the Turner Valley Golf Course, not only is it a beautiful escape from the city but the golf course is near the Chuckwagon Cafe and Eau Claire Distillery.

  • Glamping…I love the idea of going camping but I am a fairweather girl so anything less then balmy sunshine, I’m not particularly interested, so instead for the end of June I have rented a 13ft Glaming tent from Lavish Canvas to do a girls staycation boho garden party….and by party I mean 2 of us, no need to go crazy on me.

This has my first 5 weeks of summer covered, I don’t have much else to add as I am lacking a bit of inspiration but I do look forward to having some beach days and bonfire nights, and I am working on some exciting projects that have been put on hold but hopefully soon I’ll be able to get those wheels turning again!
