Best Self Tanners
Hello Blondies!
As the days are getting longer and for the most part warmer I thought I would share with you my favourites self tanners, now please keep in mind this is not a supplement for sun lotion, I am guilty too of no re-applying as often as I should, which is something I do need to get better at considering my skin type. I personally love the UK brand Boots, sunlotion and Dermalogica’s newest Physical Sunscreen along with their Chemical Sunscreen too.
Starting with the bottom working my way up, is Rodan + Fields foam self tan, I felt the colour didn’t sit right with my skin tone and as the foam is clear, which some may prefer, I am not as skilled when it comes to applying and ending with some really funny lines.
Next is Luna Bronze, this one I recieved as a part of the Jilly Box and while I am aware that they do have a wider range this one is in second place, because while I love it as a gradual tan and a moisturizer it does take a few applications to get the desired colour and again being a white cream it can be hard to figure out if you’ve got all your bases covered, the blessing is that because it is a more graudal tan you are able to course correct as you go!
The brings me to my personal favourite and that is SunnaTan’s Colour Me Dark cream. I love the solid dark coat it gives and when you rinse it off it gives you an organic glow. I prefer this application the best because it is a coloured cream so it’s easy to spot where you have missed to avoid those pesky tanlines.
I have heard SunnaTan has released a foam as well which I have yet to try, so once I get my hands on that I will be able to report back and share with you where I would place it in the current line up.
As always my personal favourite is a spray tan, this guarantees an even coat, but these will do the trick during covid, and eventually when I do go on holiday again!
One final tip, which I got from my girl Ayla from Eyela Beauty is before you self tan be sure to put an oil (I use cuticle oil) where you don’t want you tan to settle (like your nail beds…no one wants orange fingers!)
