Summer Bucket List: Dates Under $100 in YYC

As a couple we recently sat down and talked about our goals and our plans ... (like travel) and decided it would be best to start paying more attention to where we are putting our pennies (like Starbucks coffee) and other dates.

For deleting dates was not an option as quality time is super important to us, however I have come up with a few creative date ideas that are under $100...(mostly under $50).

  • Ice Cream and Driving Range, our preferred is Village Ice Cream (or Made By Marcus) and sometimes depending on the course you may even be able to get a round of golf for a reasonable price during twilight hour.

  • Dawgs Baseball Game, I went to my first game earlier this summer and it was so much fun! Only $20 for tickets and then hot dogs and root beer for dinner, sitting on the berm chatting wth friends scored up for a great night! P.S Don’t forget a blanket because man it’s chilly when the sun goes down! - if baseball isn’t your thing you can store some great priced football tickets too!

  • Rec Room, i know there was one in West Edmonton Mall but I’ve gone bowling there once before - however they recently opened a new one in Calgary during the Deerfoot City Reno’s. (Check here for more details on my summer bucketlist)

  • Pizza & A Movie, I know this is so cliché but Famoso is one of our favourite places to eat and there’s something special about going to the cinema, if a movie isn’t up your alley there’s a few more activities I want to try such as axe throwing, escape room and laser tag.

  • Breakfast & Sweat Date, two of my favourite things being active and eating, couples that sweat together stay together right?!... but add good and then everyone is happy. (Favourite breakfast places in YYC, OEB, Broken’ Yolk, Ladybug Café, Reds)

Do you have any other creative date ideas?
