Summer Bucket List: Hollydays - Vancouver
I know I have already expressed how much I love this city back in the fall but I recently came back from another day trip this time it was a little different ... for starters it was 29 and sunny.
This was a birthday celebration trip, it was between Kelowna (again) or Vancouver (again), because of all the smoke coming from the forest fires we figured Vancouver would be the better option this time around.
If you don’t already know I don’t work particularly well without coffee....
So you can imagine that the morning was a bit of a rough start, mix that with prosseco on the plane - Holly’s emotions were flying all over the place (no pun intended... well maybe).
Once we landed it was a very obvious concern that Holly needed to be fed if everyone wanted to come out at the end of the day alive.
We headed to Medina for breakfast and it was delicious I would highly recommend it and if you don’t have loads of time make sure to grab a coffee and a waffle! For dipping options we went with Passion Fruit Compote and Lavender infused Milk Chocolate.
As the day was heating up we headed into Stanley Park to play a around of Pitch and Putt golf... I like to think I did pretty well for a Par 3 (only took me 6 to get it in and only 1 in the bush).
We ended our game just in time for Happy Hour at Lift which is right on the water, so we popped in for a drink or two and enjoyed some sushi (avo sushi for me...) along with truffle fries.
This manage to carry us across town on our way to dinner at La Pentola. I’ve been dying to go for AGES!! And trust me it was worth the wait - so delicious we started with Bread and Oil (duh) I had the Cabonara a It was flippin’ Fantastic! Hands down I would go again.
We also shared a pitcher of Aperol Spritz which was so refreshing, perfect for a warm summers day!
As if that wasn’t enough I still had room in my belly for dessert. Ice Cream at Mister of course, I had a s’mores bar (half size was more than enough) by the time I devoured it, it was time to head back to the airport to catch our flight... needless to say I was one happy camper, and once again spoiled on the way home with front row seats and a glass of vino to cap the night off...
Another thing to add to my summer bucket list!
Big love, thebrokeblonde xo
