Hello Blondies,

It’s here at last! My summer causebox has arrived. If you haven’t heard of them before, let me give you a quick spiel and then I’ll get right into the goods, I know you want to get back to your margarita.

Like most subscription boxes this is a seasonal box where you get 7 items 4 times a year. The difference is that Causebox focuses on sustainability and fair trade goods so the vendors and artisans are being properly compensated for their time and efforts.

Was that quick enough?

Let’s Go!

First time was the biggest value at $179, this is the PMD Pro face cleanser. I already have a Foreo so this (at some point) will be in a giveaway, just don’t know when yet. I was able to pick from teal, navy or blush…me being me, I chose blush.

Next is a reed diffuser which I had the choice of Grapefruit & Bergamont Or White Tea & Ginger, I chose the Former as I love anything Grapefruit scented, it’s so refreshing. These retail for $24 and while I was on their website, I noticed they have a Black Oak & Currant and a Brown Sugar & Fig which I feel would be ideal for autumn.

If you’re keeping count we’re already over $200USD and this box retails for $50 USD, we still have 5 more items to go!

I noticed a bit of a skincare theme for this box as they also had SPF as an option along with a healing balm and hylauronic acid serum. I opted out of the SPF as I have been loving Dermalogica’s and I am trying to use up what I already have. Instead I selected the Matr Boomie, Danu Earrings, these retail for $40USD and are currently sold out. I love them but I do have a very similar pair from Free People from a few years back, I do plan on giving them away as well at somepoint…as long as I can find my Free People ones first.

The hylauronic acid was not a selection, everyone who order the box recieved this, and I’m not mad about it! Hylauronic acid is great for keeping the skin hydrated, I have recently been using the Ordinary one which is a great affordable alternative and then I switched my serums for a bit and was using Dermalogica’s Bio-lum C Serum now that’s empty it’s perfect time for me to start using Stella & Grace. The 50ml bottle (which is the one in the box) retails for $25USD.

The last of the skincare bits was the RESTORE balm from Dr. Rogers which shockingly for an .05oz tube is $30USD! I don’t think I would purchase that on my own…but hey never say never I have bought some strange things over the past.

The last two items go hand in hand and are perfect for a picnic…although I don’t know if you would want to bring china dishes out on a picnic they are great for putting berries, veggies or even taco toppings in. That is the gorgeous Oceania Nesting bowls form Pepper and Vevtier retailling at $49 that brings the box value well over $300 and the last item is a set of silicon lids to place over containers (or bowls)…these I would for sure take with me on a road trip to keep the miggies away from my snacks! This set of 6 retails for $7.99 so a great afforable and sustainable alternative to cling film and ziplocs!

Hope this was worth the wait…I’m sure happy I’ve got the box now, won’t be long now before I will be able to select my fall box!
