Summer Pops — June Ipsy Bag
And We’re Back.
I’m not sure why, but I felt the colours of this month’s bag was very 80’s so I went with a full retro theme for the graphic…let me know what you think!
As always I will be doing a full un”bagging” of what I got this month, but if you scroll to the bottom I’m also going to let you know what I’m still wearing from April’s Bag, and what has fallen to the bottom of the make up drawer.
My Selection was Tatcha Beauty, Indigo Overnight Repair. According to the Tatcha websites it’s “A cushiony, fragrance-free soothing serum-in-moisturizer treatment that visibly calms irritation, strengthens skin’s barrier, and balances the microbiome so you can awaken with skin as strong as you are”. Full size value is $114.
Another item I recognized, was Tarte’s Maneater. I always like to have a mascara in my handbag, but I didn’t chose this as my selection because I don’t love the applicator on this particular mascara. However, it has does give a fair amount of length and voume.
As for the other three products I was unfamiliar with the brands and definitley judge a by they packagaing. The brow atelier, Groom & Sculpt Tinted Brow Gel in Chestnut, this was a deeper shade than the bottle looked, which worked in my favour. For a gal who doesn’t do much with her brows it could come in handy, but we’ll see if I remember to add this to my routine!
Dr. Paw Paw, needs to work on the packaging, but I do have to retract my intial judgement. When I told my friend about this mysterous brand, she educated me and let me know it’s a very well known brand and has great reviews, so after that I was really looking forward to trying the overnight lip mask, but my lips need all the love and attention they can get.
Last but not least, is Able Skincare Hyaluronic + Retinol Radical Youth Activator Serum, I am already in the midst of using a retinol, so this will either be gifted, or will head straight to the self for the time being.

Two months later, what products am I still using?
The one thing I like about getting powder items is I find they typically last me long enough to give the product as fair shake. Since restarting my Ipsy subscription there habe neen a few items I’ve continously reach for and others I have already forgotten about. In April, I got the Ciaté Bronzer which I used on the regular until I pickets up a contour palette from Revloution while in London. The MOTD highlight was also apart of the bag, which I still use when not reaching for my contour palette. This bag came with a highlighter brush which is always a winner, along with the Benefit Bo-iing Concealer, which is now close to empty.
The forgotten one: UNPA Lacto Cica Soothing Toner, while I used it on day one, it tumbled into the makeup bag and was left to collect glitter and powder from the bottom of the makeup bag. I’ll be sure to finish it…when I remember.
Time to select July’s Item:
Stay tuned for July’s full un-bagging and the products I’m still using from May!
