What We Bought In January
As we already a did “Trending In January” blog post, we thought we’d change it up and rather than do a Hotpicks, we’d share with you some of the items we bought in January. First of all, we love our two-toned hoops from Hillberg & Berk, no matter if you’re going for a warm tone or cool tone look these hoops have you covered, the best part is when you’re wearing them you don’t see the other side! Stanley Cup, no the hockey trophy…yes, the trending insulated cup with a handle & straw…while our Botox nurse doesn’t condone this behaviour (as it leads to cigarette lips, over time) we couldn’t help but see what the hype is all about. Who would have thought drinking 40oz of water would be so fun?!
We also stepped into our Vanilla Girl era, (seasons are no longer a term we use around here…trying to stay “hip” with all the Gen Z’s pretending we don’t use night cream). We bought new sherpa comforters to stay cozy, picked up some cute earmuffs and worked on our self-care with LaNeige’s Vanilla Lip Mask.
While this is a monthly occurrence, we also updated our nails to reflect a fresh start, keeping it simple with natural nails and “cold girl” makeup even though Jack Frost has helped himself to that job, we used it as an excuse to update our makeup kits, including saying goodbye to some old favourites (Becca Highlighter anyone?).
On our way back from Sephora, we popped into the bookshop and picked up a few new reads including The things we never got over and The Opportunist.
Lastly, we’re already setting our sights on spring break so while we continue to drink our green juice, head to the sauna and yes drink plenty of water we also booked flights and got Botox so we’re ready for our next adventure! (Don’t forget the SPF).
