Coffee Substitutes
Hello Blondies!
I don’t know about you but ever since quarantine my coffee consumption has gone up about 200%, and so has my microwave bill as I am very good a leaving my coffee lying about….oops.
I love a steaming cup of black coffee, but after it quickly becoming a daily ritual…and sometimes multiple times a day ritual, I thought I should find a few alternatives just so my dentist won’t be too mad at me when things open back up, and also to try and help my wonky sleep schedule get back on track.
First things first is for my morning coffee if I’m not in the mood for a black coffee I will add WithinUs’ Coconut Collagen Creamer, I typically use these when I am on the road for work but it does come in a 275g jar along with the option of the travel packs. Most recently to a “healthy” cinnamon dolce latte I’ve been adding a scoop of Cinnamon Protein Powder. I use the Cinnamon Roll Protein from Arbonne, but I am sure any one will do. For a Mocha you could substitute the protein powder for a scoop of the WithinUs Cacao Collagen Powder.
If you want a little less caffeine all together, I would recommend trying the WithinUs Matcha Misto or Matcha Powder with either a cup of warm Almond Milk or Coconut Milk, I like to use Unsweetened Almond with a little bit of honey. Again the Matcha Misto is available in travel packs, which I tend to bring when I have an night flight, when I want a little pep but still want to be able to sleep when I reach the hotel. When I am not at home I will order a Venti Coconut Misto so I can add the Matcha in.
If you’re looking for a caffeine free option I would recommend their Turmeric Misto Powder with a bit of honey and almond milk.
In the evenings I have been working hard to go to bed at a more decent time (earlier than the crossing of the dateline). I love going with a hot chocolate with the Cacao Powder or WithinUs’ new Magnesium Powder which has a lemon taste to it, depending on the size of your mug or how strong you like it you could do one or two scoops, I found two a bit much of my tea cup so I keep to one (plus it lasts longer) and I recently tried with Arbonne’s Honey, Ginger tea and that is a lovely bedtime combination!
If you were planning on making a purchase of multiple items keep an eye out for their bundles so you can save your pennies!
