Beauty Empties - Fall 2018
As September always seems to be a month of resets I thought I would try posting more reviews. This month I’m going to be chatting about my recent empties and things that I was pleasantly surprised by.
Let’s start off with one of my holy grail products and that is Liz Earle Hot Cloth Cleanser. I know I have probably said it before and be aware I will say it again, it is my absolute favourite. I have been using it for well over a year now, and while there are products that deserve an honourable mention like No.7’s cleanser, I still find myself reaching for My Liz Earle I swear this one has magic in it. I love how it’s gentle enough to use all over my face and removes all the grit and grime including my eye makeup. The scent of chamomile makes it that much more relaxing and spa like. I already have a few stockpiled in my vanity for when I run out because it’s not available on the high street in Canada, I do believe however you can get it shipped. I just buy a couple at a time when I pop over to the UK for a visit. I tend to use the original formula however I do get excited for this time of year when they launch their Limited Christmas Edition!
Another brand I am continually using is Origins. I have recently finished using my jar of Night - A - Mins. I particularly like this product because of high vitamin content and the blend of essentail oils that not only feels super luxe on my skin but smells delicious. Once my skin is all prepped and primed I give my face a nice layer of moisture before I head to la la land. I have especially noticed over the past little while it has help my skin the extra boost of hydration it desperately needs.
I have been a first time user to both these following products this past month and I have been pleasantly surprised... well I don’t even know if surprised is the right word because I didn’t know what to expect to begin with.
First up to bat is Boscia’s melt away. Now if your like me and you travel quite a bit and you’re looking to narrow down the amount of liquids in your carryon this is the product for you! It’s a solid Formula until you begin to massage it into your hands and face then it becomes super slick. And it does an Amazing job of taking off your makeup. I unfortunately only had a deluxe sample size of this as I used my Sephora points, but it’ll be on the top of my purchase list when I’m done using up all the other odds and ends I have in my make up kit.
Last but certainly not least is Elemis Papaya Emzyme Exfoliator. I am not the best at following along with a skincare routine (which I know I need to work on). But I feel like this exfoliator helps pick up the slack. I’ve been using this about once a week to give my skin its weekly reset and it seems to be doing the trick. I don’t have overly sensitive skin but it can get quite dry, I find it gentle enough to use on my skin, if you have more problematic skin you could probably use it a few times a week. I haven’t even got to the best part! It smells devine. It reminds me of Papaya yoghurt and yes that’s a compliment because it smells good enough to eat!
That’s all for this month!
