Autumn has arrived, and in Calgary almost disappeared. I thought now would be an ideal time to feature a company I came across in a recent Causebox. As we are entering the hosting season, I feel this brand fits in perfectly.

Just a quick disclaimer, there are affiliate links attached. However, just like the Rviitalize post, I have taken the time to do my research. This is not a sponsored post.

Let's continue.

Meet Feya, a candle company created by the founder, Sarah who was living out of her car at the time. Feya; came from Sarah's grandma Fey and aunt Pamela two strong women who were bright lights in her life and being from the south -- where food is what brings people together. Sarah knew from the beginning that Feya needed to give back to those who needed it most. The company has already provided 35 thousand meals to shelters throughout the USA and around the world as of 2019.

Feya has also launched its initiative the Feya Foundation. Their mission is to end world poverty and hunger. I have always had a heart for this cause, even during High School I took the lead at our youth group to run the 30hr Famine Project through World Vision to combat world hunger, especially in youth. Each 20oz candle provides two meals around the world. Feya has partnered with the company Akira to ensure their materials are ethically sourced.

Now that I have tugged on your heartstrings, time to get into the details of the actual product. They first landed in my mailbox over the summer when their Bergamot and Grapefruit diffuser was in the Causebox. I fell in love with how light refreshing the scent is, but not overpowering. While writing up the Unboxing blog post, I visited their website and fell down the rabbit hole of information.

As mentioned before, I love my Grapefruit & Bergamot diffuser, but being the consumer I am and the authenticity I want to bring to you, I had to try out a few more products before I gave it the all-clear. To add a bit of autumn into my home, I bought the Brown Sugar and Fig Candle and the Black Oak and Currant Diffuser. They also carry 6.5oz candles and soap bars -- nothing says Thanksgiving like when your home smells like apples and cranberries, am I right?

The reeds in the diffuser I would say last about two months, maybe three, but I switched mine out for a new scent, so I tossed the used ones in the bin and will buy new reeds to put back in my Grapefruit & Bergamot in the spring.

My Black Oak and Currant one is sitting on the window ledge of my office, but I will be moving it shortly into the guest bathroom. I prefer using diffusers in discreet areas, so there's no need to keep an eye on it like you would a candle. This also leaves high trafficked areas always smelling nice, no need for an awkward encounter.

As a reader, Feya has given me promo HOLLY for you to use and save 15% on your purchases! Now all you need to do is toss on some cosy slippers, light a candle, pour yourself a glass of wine, and find yourself a good book!

One final piece of news I want to share with you, because of the Causebox subscription Feya will be building a well through Drop in the bucket next year! If you want to do a world of good while shopping, I encourage you to shop the Feya website or sign up for the Causebox. Right now, when you sign up for an annual subscription you can receive a bonus gift of the PMD Microderm ($159 value).
