Hairstyle Hacks With Fringe
Fringe is one of those trends I think most people shy away from because they see it as a long term commitment when it comes to styling. Well I’m here to bust that myth for you. I recently chop of my hair...well some of it, and trust me I am extremely lazy when it comes to styling my hair... messy buns are my staple, I recently went and had a visit with my stylist and he told me some hacks to save time.
As stated before this is catered to us lazy girls who may or may not wash their hair every few days (don’t judge).
Day 1 (hair wash day): To dry your hair without getting any wonky curls Justin from Mane recommends blow drying your fringe in a downward motion while using a comb to gently brush the fringe side to side avoiding the fringe to set on a side.
Day 2: After a perfect hair day (almost) it would only be best to be able to replicate it. Re-washing your hair would take far to much effort to “reset” your fringe instead, use your hair straightener but instead of clamping down causing an awkward kink use the side of the pre-heated straightener while using a comb to keep everyone in line.
Day 3: After a few days of taking the time to style, even that comes a bit of a hassle then I start to resorting to my best friend... the bobbypin. I have so many of these laying around the house my family has now started calling them hollypins. But they truly are a life saver, I little (or a lot) of dry shampoo a quick braid pinned back and tossed into a side bun or ponytail and you’re good to go.
Day 4 (or option B for day 3): If braids aren’t quite your thing I do a simple poof. I personally find this suits my face paired when the rest of my hair is styled either curled or straight for an event or ponytail if I’m doing it for work. Again before doing anything I load up on dry shampoo, my favourite being from Drybar this can be found at Sephora a more affordable yet equally good from shoppers drug mart is batisse, this one comes In multiple frangrances and of you are a Costco member you a get a 3 pack... because you can never have to much dry shampoo.
Lastly if you’ve really hit rock bottom like it’s sunday-morning -pancakes- and -I -forgot -to -buy -milk kind of a pinch a baseball cap hids anything!
