Spilling The Tea On My "Back To School Routine"

Now that summer holidays are coming to a rapid end (or at least they are for me) I thought I’d share with you the way I get back into my routine!

Consistency is key, now I work shift work so this can sometimes be a bit of a challenge, but I know I can run on about 6.5hrs of sleep (although 8+ is doctor recommended and ideal). So if I am on evenings I’ll try and set my alarm for 8 knowing I am a snoozer, it’ll get me up for about 8:30/9. When I work mornings ... this doesn’t work, I just work back from 8hrs and try to get as much sleep as possible.

My evenings are about as exciting as my mornings. If I am home I try to allow myself a “wind down” period... sometimes this includes wine, along with a bath and a book (or Netflix).

While the bath is running I’ll let some candles in the bathroom, pop into my room and turn on my Saje Diffuser in my room(for more details click here), head into the kitchen and turn on the kettle.

By then I’ll put on a face mask, turn off the tap make myself and cuppa, and soak.

Right before bed my go-to tea is Drift Away from tearrific (quite suitable if you ask me). You can also make this into a latte with warm milk... don’t ask me for any latte art I’m useless! Another thing I’ll do, is once I’m done with the tea leaves itself I’ll actually drop them into the bath along with my salts and bubbles to make it feel super lux and extra.

As for some other Tea tricks, Caffeinated tea bags over the eyes helps with puffy eyes. And Fresh Beauty’s new Black Tea Age - Delay Body Cream does just the trick to fight dull skin and help with elasticity. Another beneficial tea is Rooibos this helps reduce blood pressure.

White Tea helps prevent damage, Origins has plenty of White Tea Products in their A Perfect World Range I have recently been trying out the  Age Defense Treatment  Lotion, this is designed to be used after toner but before your night cream, it’s created to help open your pores allowing it to absorb all the benefits from your night cream.

Matcha as for the outside it helps with reducing redness and premature aging from outside elements thanks to its antioxidants, for a face mask I would suggest Boscia’s Matcha Magic Super Antioxidant Mask as for the  goodness it does inside your it’s quite delicious in many forms (sneak peak for next months tea post) and is also filled with plenty of vitamins and minerals.

And that’s about it, if I need extra help I’ll use some lavender spray on my pillows.

What’s your “back to school” routine?

Big Love, thebrokeblonde xo
