How I Get Free Products

Hello Blondies,

If you’ve clicked on this it is because it has peaked your curiousity and I am letting you know this is not click bait. I have been writing the brokeblonde for almost 4 years and it can be hard launching into the “influencer'“ world, especially if you’re like me where money is tight and you want to keep it as authentic as possible.

That is no shade at sponsored posts, I’ve done it before with an Instagram credit and if need be when thebrokeblonde budget allows I will allocated expenses for marketing as for now my budget is highly focused on developpement and education.

As I write this I have just under 1k followers, yup that’s it. 943 to be exact. Sure I wished that 4 years in I would have expanded my reach a lot further but I have been able to fumble and correct and learn with a much smaller audience (and alot less notice).

So as a small blogger how do I get free product?

  1. Authentic Relationships, I have friends who have created their own businesses I have supported local, I share when there’s no benefit to me, and sure I have been offered discount codes etc.. and comissions that if I buy and share then I will earn comission and be featured….NO THANKS. I want to know and love the product before sharing on my social accounts.

  2. With that being said I have signed up for the Influenster app which is FREE and all it is, is a review based app and as you increase your activity and the more you review they put you up to recieve certain products. The reason I love this is not once have they asked to PROMOTE they ask for REVIEW. Which means even if I don’t love the product I can give my honest feedback. Some will still ask you to share it as you use/open it but I typically don’t promote. I simple share my unboxing and leave the review to the blog and their app.

  3. Don’t be spending your own money on “free” product. About a year into the blog I was approched by the you get 25% off and 10% commission off your refferals…sounds great but I swear they target smaller bloggers/influencers in attempt to make saled knowing full well that the likelyhood of you getting any return is silm.

  4. There’s no harm in affiliate marketing, I share with you if there’s any benefit to a link I have attached, but the majority of the time I am sharing out of ease. This builds a trusting relationship between you and me. Which is why I have no secrets when it comes to how I get the products I get. There’s always room at the top.

  5. Use your resources, off to trade product for services or experiences, although you may not be making money off of it you won’t be spending it and you’ll also have content avaliable for your blog
